Deep Linking

Another very effective way to link is to deep link with other websites or web pages. Deep Links  occur when a link is within a website's webpage and it points to one of your webpage's URL (not to home page or link page).

Very similar to contextual linking, a deep link gives a lot of credibility and value when used correctly and placed within the right content and webpage.

A Deep Link can be just a link placed on the webpage of Website A and points to a webpage (URL) of Website B. A more effective deep link is when it is used within a paragraph or sentence or description of one of the webpages of Website A and points to a specific webpage (URL) of Website B.

Deep Links pointing from a higher PR (PageRank) help boost your ranking. Of course you do need a few of them in order to increase PR. Try to build Deep Links with sites that point to different webpages on your website rather then just one or two.

Once again it goes withiut saying that websites sharing deep links must have some connection or are content related. An animal site having a deep link to a site manufacturing kites is not very useful and will not add any value to the deep link.
